That's my dream here at Dollenchantments....for my doll couture, repaints, and OOAK dolls to be innovative....and fun! Not being formally trained, I use my God-given talent to put my own personal stamp on every piece I do! I strive to please myself, hoping that there are other doll people out there who are like-minded.
My name is Dot Festeu. I'm a hopeless romantic, collector of many beautiful things, mother, grandmother, friend, and a true dollaholic who doesn't want to be cured!
I've always believed that dollmakers began as
innovators. From that first moment someone
picked up a needle, some clay or any other
equipment to maneuver it into a doll, they
became an innovator.
Some innovators have a giving spirit.
I believe they are responsible for the
many techniques passed down generation
after generation. That is why people still use
those same methods to produce dolls today.
